JACKSON COUNTY — Following a lengthy investigation by the Carbondale police and the FBI, two 19-year-old women have been arrested on charges of promoting juvenile prostitution.

Justice N.S. Webb and Alyssa R. Walker have each been charged with two counts of promoting juvenile prostitution. Bond for each has been set at $500,000.

Both Webb and Walker were located and arrested on the warrants in Williamson County by the Marion Police Department.

The City of Carbondale Police Department, together with the FBI, initiated an investigation in the fall of 2015 into juvenile prostitution that was occurring in and around the City of Carbondale.

During the course of the investigation, several suspects were developed who were involved in recruiting juveniles for the purpose of prostitution and promoting the juveniles in prostitution.

In late September 2016, as a result of the investigation to date, arrest warrants were issued in Jackson County for two of the suspects in this incident.

They are incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.  The investigation into this incident is continuing.
