The pursuit began in Carlyle where police attempted a traffic stop on Stacie Stevenson. The chase continued into Sandoval, where a Sandoval officer deployed a stop stick that took out one of Stevenson’s back tires.

With Marion County law enforcement still in pursuit, she reportedly continued to flee north on U.S. 51 on one rim.

The pursuit ended just south of Vandalia where Stevenson found herself boxed in with Vandalia police and Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies ahead of her with a roadblock at the U.S. 40 and U.S. 51 interchange and Marion County law enforcement behind her.

Stevenson gave up and was taken into custody without incident.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office say Stevenson was traveling between 70 and 90 miles per hour during the pursuit.

She’s being held in the Clinton County Jail on charges of driving while license suspended, manufacture with the intent to deliver a controlled substance; no valid registration; operating an uninsured motor vehicle; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of methamphetamine; reckless driving; aggravated fleeing or eluding; and on outstanding arrest warrants from Clinton, St. Clair, and Washington counties.
