FRANKLIN COUNTY — A former employee of the Franklin County Circuit Clerk’s Office was sentenced Monday in Franklin County Circuit Court to four years of probation for stealing money from that office.
According to court records, 49-year-old Kindra Eickelman was ordered to pay over $37,000 in restitution, $5,000 in fines and court costs. The restitution covers the $23,121 she took from the office and the cost of the audit that came after the incident.
Eickelman committed the offense between 2012 and 2014. She pled guilty in March to one count of official misconduct and one count of theft between $10,000 and $100,000.
When Eickelman was arrested for the offense following her resignation from the Circuit Clerk’s office in June 2014, she told another employee that she had taken the money.
